To arrest a slow-moving landslide that jeopardized Highway US20, Conway constructed a four hundred foot long by 40-foot-tall soldier pile and timber lagging retaining wall with a cast-in-place concrete facing. Conway performed the work under live traffic and during a winter of record rain and snowfall yet finished on time.
Cougar Creek Bridge Replacement
The Cougar Creek Bridge was a 26′ timber span sitting on mortared rock abutments built in 1926 that had outrun its service life.
