The iconic Good Pasture Covered Bridge is the most photographed of its kind in Oregon. Conway Construction Company took on this challenging rehabilitation project which required temporary support of the structure via two 140′ tubular steel trusses installed inside the bridge. CCC installed new truss splice plates, tuned and post-tensioned the trusses, replaced the timber deck and stringers, replaced the portal siding and replaced the bridge rail. CCC’s sub-contractors painted the bridge and installed LED lighting to the exterior. With the exception of four single night closures, all of the work was done while under live traffic. The project was a success ensuring that the Good Pasture Bridge will remain an inspiration to photographers for years to come.
